Hey, I’m Elizabeth.

I’m an Assistant Clinical Professor of Digital Humanities & Digital Studies at African American Experimental & Digital Humanities (AADHum) at the University of Maryland, College Park. I’m also a member of the Immersive Realities Lab for the Humanities.

Previously, I was a Mellon Editorial Fellow at Northwestern University Press. I was also a producer for Change Agents the Podcast, profiling Black urban agricultural collective Grow Greater Englewood. I have written, designed, and built content for a variety of industry and scholarly projects, but my main focus is work that engages the public.

I received my PhD and MA in Literatures in English from Cornell University and my BA in English & Black Studies from Amherst College. I’m currently in the DMV, but deeply rooted in Chicago’s Southside.
